Abstract

This article aims to present and discuss the impact of Education through Work for Health Program (PET-Saude) in the health practices of professionals who work on a Support Center for Family Health in Salvador, Bahia, and who also acted as preceptors in this project. The Federal University of Bahia’ experience was structured from the group training workshops, meetings, planning and execution of health education practices. The central axis of the project is combating violence in schools through actions of health education directed by the Health Promotion, what allowed the introduction of new practices in the work of professionals, as the analysis of the health situation and the adoption of a dialogical and participatory approach to health education. Such practices are crucial for the consolidation of a comprehensive health care model, oriented mainly by the perspective of Health Promotion.
