Abstract

This work sought to understand the temporary organization of a music festival and its influences on the creative economy of a city. The qualitative methodology was based on a set of techniques, among them: participant observation, field diary, shadowing, interviews, compilation of documents and photographic images. It became evident that the organization of the music festival under study is involved in a creative network of multiple spatial practices, creating a simultaneous space-time chronology. It was observed that this synchrony, when diluting the space-time boundaries, facilitates the emergence of a complex and differentiated network of negotiation and learning practices. On the other hand, the main task of the temporary organization under study is related to the practice of creatively occupying the city, as one of the reasons for the existence of the music festival.
