Abstract

Objective To investigate the nursing instructions of contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination. Methods The nursing experience of 4598 cases who underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasound were summarized. The adverse reactions related to contrast agent were observed and recorded. Results With the cooperation between doctors and nurses, 4598 contrast-enhanced ultrasound examinations were all successfully performed. 2 cases presented mild adverse reaction and recovered after conservative treatment, no moderate or severe adverse reactions were observed in any cases. Conclusion The nurse should be aware of indications and contraindications of contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination. The prompt observation and treatment of adverse reactions resulted from microbubble contrast agent are vital to the completion of contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
