Abstract
This article reviews the design capabilities of numerical tools for the processes of mixing, feeding and placing concrete, analyzes their limitations and problems, and proposes a comprehensive methodology for implementing a modeloriented approach to justification of RBM design and to predicting the behavior of the layers being placed. Keywords additive manufacturing, concrete 3D printing, numerical simulation, extrusion-based printing, process simulation, robotic concrete-laying machines
