Abstract

Purpose: in order to investigate condition of psychological health of college students of the newly-founded universities', we conduct psychological health interventions to help cultivate the students' good psychological quality, and help them to be the right person the country and the community need. Methods: we made a study in 3 newly-founded universities among the students, who were in Grade-2008, Grade-2009 and the students in Grade 2010 by the self rating scale application symptoms evaluation analysis, and application of the college student's personality questionnaire evaluation analysis. Results: Results show that in these three newly-founded colleges, the psychological health level of the students is better than the general mode of the college students. The self-assessment lists of symptom is suspected about 14.10% of the students with psychological problems; 4.37% of whom were sure to have psychological problems; 1.60% of whom have obvious psychological problems. With college students' personality questionnaire,we found about 9.08% of the college students who were with mental illness or had psychological barriers, about 38.42% seemed to have general psychological problem; Psychological problems mainly displays in the forms of force symptoms, sensitive interpersonal relation, depression, paranoid, hostile, anxiety and psychoticism, etc. Male college students are more hostile to each other than female students. The latter are more sensitive to horror than male students; those students who come from one-child families have more advantages in psychological quality; The students from the cities have better psychological quality than those from the countryside; college running conditions and teaching level is better, the psychological health condition of the students is better. Conclusion: the newly-founded universities college students' mental health is much better than the general mode but, there is much work to do better, from all-sides and by all means to conduct the education of psychological health and implementation of multi-level interventions.
