Abstract
Abstract A geologic, geophysical, and hydrogeologic study of the area in which the Saint-Pere-sous-Vezelay saline springs are located, in the Cure valley, France, shows that their emergence is controlled by transection of a fissured north-south fault zone of the Morvan massif, along which the waters percolate, by a transverse fault north of which impermeable Jurassic marls are present.
