Abstract
Normalised expressions for magnetic field distributions generated by a circular current loop are presented. It is demonstrated that these distributions only depend on two normalised, dimensionless parameters, with the radius of the loop as the normalisation variable. Graphical analysis of these distributions leads to a simple set of guidelines, which significantly facilitates the design of systems containing circular current loops.
