Abstract
The decay of the photon echo signal is a source of information about relaxation processes in the system. Both the 2PE and 3PE exhibit exponential decay because both types of echo have been considered on the basis of the optical Bloch equations, where dephasing is characterized by a single dephasing constant T 2 .
