Abstract

The occurrence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and thyroid disfunction are increasing,which are both related to environmental factor and life style.The real mechanism between them is unknown.Whether they relate to the metabolic disorder need to be further studied.The level of thyroid hormone in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver was low and the prevalence of hypothyroidism was high.Thyroid hormone can influence on lipid accumulation in the liver by influencing lipid metabolism,oxidative stress,mitochondrial function and thyroid hormone recepter expression.Verify the pathogenesis in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and thyroid disfunction will be helpful to find the novel target in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
