Abstract

It is shown explicitly for a soluble model that a random spin system can have an entropy which is non-analytic at (H = 0, T = 0), with (∂S∂H)H=0 and/or (∂2S∂H2)H=0 non-vanishing in the T → 0 limit, while nevertheless Nernst's law is satisfied.
