Abstract

The nominalization is a process of formation of substantives and nominal phrases very rich in koyó. This language presents two types of nominalizations: the lexical nominalization and the syntactic nominalization. The lexical nominalization proceeds by the creation of new substantives by the processes of derivation and composition. The nominalization by derivation is nominal, verbal, adjectival and adverbial. She/it uses six processes: the préfixation, the increase, the parasynthétique, the regression, the progression and the conversion. The nominalization by composition resorts to the processes of juxtaposition, congealment and agglutination of items for the creation of new lexical units. On his/her/its turn, the syntactic nominalization proceeds by the transformation of the simple sentences in nominal phrases. This nominalization makes use of two processes: the déverbalization and the désadjectivization. She/it is solely syntagmatic. The operations of nominalization, in koyó, establish some relations between the morphology, the syntax and the semantics. Keywords: koyó, nominalization, lexical, syntactic.
