Abstract

The article analyzes the ideological and artistic dialogues of contemporary digital artists with masters of art of past eras, primarily modernism and avant-garde. Despite the widespread opinion that modern digital culture radically breaks and rejects any connection with the artistic tradition, we observe a constant interest in the artistic culture of past periods, its rethinking and interpretation. In our opinion, the dispute between generations, notable even at the initial examination, is not a conflict, but rather a productive dialogue showing the inherent value and selfsufficiency of the latest digital art
