Abstract

On April 20, 2012, the Population Council's International Committee for Contraception Research (ICCR) convened its 100th meeting in New York City. The meeting brought together current and emeritus members of the ICCR. Presentations focused on long-acting, reversible methods of contraception, male contraception, and future research opportunities. A symposium was organized around the theme “New vision for contraceptive research and development.” Founding ICCR member Daniel R. Mishell, Jr. who actively participated in all 100 meetings of the Committee, was honored for his outstanding contributions to the field of women's health and contraceptive research.
