Abstract
A new resistance-capacitance ( <i xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">RC</i> ) active circuit is proposed to give a second-order low-pass notch. This can be altered to give a high-pass characteristic, and both can be extended to give third-order notches. The second-order system uses only two capacitors and the third only three.
