Abstract
Abstract: Wilson’s disease (WD) occurs due to abnormal copper metabolism and often presents with various neurological, cognitive, and psychiatric symptoms. Variable symptoms and a high propensity for medication-related adverse effects frequently make their management difficult. Here, we discussed two cases of WD presented to psychiatric OPD with variable neuropsychiatric symptoms managed conservatively but frequently complicated by newer symptoms, and medication-related side effects, which lead to multiple consultations and frequent changes in drug schedule. Therefore, we found it a great therapeutic challenge, and more discussion and research are warranted for such a condition.
