Abstract
Near-stoichiometric LiNbO 3 crystal was grown from Li-rich melt using the Czochralski (CZ) method. The fundamental absorption edge and IR absorption spectra were used for determining [Li]/[Nb] of the as-grown crystal. Acid etching results showed that along the longitudinal direction, the domain structure in the crystal changed from multidomain to completely single domain. An effect of lithium concentration in the near stoichiometric LiNbO 3 crystal on the domain structure was found.
