Abstract
EnglishBased on the interpretation given by Edith Stein to Ingunn (from Sigrid Undset's novel Olav Audunsson), Nora (from Henrik Ibsen's A Doll’s House) and Iphigenia (from Goethe's homonymous work), this article aims to investigate how does Stein conjugate phenomenological analysis and elements of medieval thought (specifically positions on the principle of individuation), in order to obtain a new vision of human individuality, with masculine and feminine specificities not necessarily arising from biological aspects.
