Abstract

This article deals with one of the topical problems of the lexicology of the Karachay-Balkar language. It presents various characteristics of phraseological units that include names of clothing and jewelry, and shows their structural and functional-semantic specifics. It is revealed that this group of phraseological units includes about 80 units. It is established that they are generally ethnoculturally marked and reflect an important segment of the Karachay-Balkar language picture of the world.
