Abstract
In an era of rapid social and economic development, the pace of enterprise transformation and upgrading is accelerating. The demand for management professionals in enterprises is continually rising. Private universities serve as crucial platforms for nurturing management professionals. In the context of advancing the educational reform of management majors, there is a need to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional teaching. This integration can enhance students’ professional competence by effectively infusing the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship into their education. This approach not only improves students’ innovative and entrepreneurial abilities but also alleviates their employment pressures. It genuinely promotes the synchronization of enterprise development and talent cultivation within colleges and universities. Currently, several challenges persist in the integration of management education and innovation and entrepreneurship education in private universities. These challenges primarily stem from insufficient attention to innovation and entrepreneurship education by teachers, incomplete integration of innovation and entrepreneurship into the curriculum content, limited development of resources for innovation and entrepreneurship education, and a lack of comprehensive organization of innovation and entrepreneurship education activities. Additionally, there is a deficiency in assessing and evaluating innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities. Given the unique role of private universities in talent development, promoting the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education into management professional education should entail constructing robust teaching teams, optimizing the curriculum system, conducting diverse innovation and entrepreneurship practice activities, and emphasizing the assessment and evaluation of practical innovation and entrepreneurship abilities.
