Abstract

In recent years, fitness and aerobics classes have gained particular popularity among university students, using musical accompaniment. The relevance of this study is due to the special importance of physical education in higher education institutions, which depends on both the health and the future professional activity of student youth. A noticeable decrease in the level of physical fitness of students and, therefore, the deterioration of their health indicate that the organization of the process of physical education in higher education institutions does not meet modern requirements. Monotonous classes in physical education in universities often do not arouse much interest among students. To make these classes more interesting, it is necessary to implement additional means of physical education. Music is one of them. Musical accompaniment clearly arouses increased interest, marks the pace of the class and significantly increases the mood and confidence of visitors. On the basis of the obtained results of testing of 1st-year students, a musical accompaniment of practical classes was composed from compositions of various music in a modern arrangement. The obtained results proved that music in physical culture classes can be a sound leader, that is, create a stylistic, figurative basis for performing motor actions. The relevance of this study is due to the special importance of physical fitness, on which both the health and future professional activities of young people depend.
