Abstract

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of developing semantic reading skills in literature lessons in secondary and high school. On the example of I. Bunin's story "Muravsky Shlyakh", a detailed literary analysis of the text is given on the basis of a conscious reading of the work. The author shows how understanding a specific word of a literary text leads to a correct interpretation of the author's position and the general meaning of the work. From a medical point of view, semantic reading creates new connections between brain cells. Analytical thinking in the process of reading allows you to turn on the cognitive functions of the brain, increase the concentration of thinking, thereby activating its work.
