Abstract

In response to the actual demand of Weizhou island, this paper proposes a new multi-energy complementary water and electricity co-generation system consisting of wind farm, photovoltaic power plant, parabolic trough type concentrating heat collection power plant, heat storage tank and electric heater combined with ocean thermal energy and its scheduling strategy. The optimal capacity configuration of each component of the system is obtained by the Multiple Objective Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (MOPSO) with the objective of minimizing the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) and the loss of power supply probability (LPSP); and comparing the system in this paper with the system without energy storage and the battery system; Finally, the typical daily output characteristics of the system under the optimal capacity configuration are analyzed. The results of the case study show that the optimal capacity con-figuration of the system is 7409.20 kW for wind power, 4769.49 kW for PV, 152,284.63 m 2 for solar thermal, and 19.10 h for thermal storage units. Under the same wind power, photovoltaic and solar thermal capacity, the performance of the system in this paper is better than the system without storage and battery system, and the system with thermal storage device still has better economy and reliability.
