Abstract
Giant cell tumors are characterized by specific x-ray film and pathologic findings. They are most often found in long tubular bones, with greater than 50% around the knee. 1 Less than 2% occur in the bones of the hand or foot, and only two cases have been reported to occur in the scaphoid. 1-3 Less than 2% of all giant cell tumors are multifocal in nature, l We present a case report of a multifocal giant cell tumor of the carpal bones treated by wide resection distal row carpectomy and immediate reconstruction with bicortical autogenous iliac bone graft.
