Abstract

The effect of low-frequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on the multidrug resistant cell line MCF7 dx was studied. In cultures containing 40 mg/ml doxorubicin, incorporation of H3-thymidine was inhibited by exposure to EMFs. The effect may have occurred via functional inhibition of P-glycoprotein.
