Abstract

This is the second of three articles reporting research that focused on the increasing attention being paid, to measuring the quality of health service provision. They address the problem of how quality can be measured across a multidisciplinary service and use a district child development team as an example of such a service. In part 2, the methodology of the study is explained. The findings of the interviews of a range of staff within the team are explored in detail, using the structure-process-outcome model suggested by Donabedian and outlined in the first article in the series. The final article will report the findings among carers and draw conclusions.
