Abstract
In this paper an equivalent continuous model of power electronic converters is used to design a dynamic model of an entire gas micro turbine generation system. It is shown that the obtained model is interesting for analyzing the dynamic behavior of the entire system and for designing the control strategy of AC and DC electrical quantities. In order to control the power flows a dedicated model is designed to describe energy variations in storage elements (inertia, DC capacitor bus) and various losses. Then we demonstrate that this model is sufficient to design the control system of the entire power generation system, meanwhile the turbine, the permanent synchronous generator and the grid connected converter. The proposed global model is simulated with the help of Matlab-Simulinktrade, by considering a 30 kW micro turbine generator
