Abstract
The objective of this research paper is to identify Maslow’s Theory of Social Needs and Economic Safety Needs in Malaysian Tamil Short Stories. Malaysian writers are now coming up with mind-blowing message filled short stories and it is undeniable that Tamil Short Stories still play big role in providing thoughtful messages and instil moral values among readers. Theory of Needs by Maslow has been coded in the 20th century when Human Resource principles have been introduced. Thus, this research has been done to identify the application of Theory of Social Needs and Economic Safety Needs by Abraham Maslow in current Short Stories written by Malaysian writers.
