Abstract

Learning grammar allows pupils to appreciate and love the language. Grammar guides pupils to write and read accurately and clearly. However, previous studies have shown that Tamil primary school pupils are unable to fully master Tamil grammar due to lack of interest and participation in Tamil grammar learning activities. This leads to the need for improvement in the teaching and learning process. Industrial Revolution 4.0 promotes PdPc activities with the use of digital technology. In this era of globalization, the integration of digital learning in school teaching is one of the new approaches. Providing pedagogical activities with the use of learning materials such as kahoot, wordwall, quizez and others, created free of charge on the internet, is widely used by teachers. This literature study uses a qualitative approach based on research on past studies related to the implementation of gamification in education. In this qualitative study, research papers, books, and papers related to the study were selected and data collected and written in a descriptive approach. Based on this, previous studies have shown that gamification method strategies can be used to fully engage in the pedagogical activities of learning grammar topics in Tamil subjects and to improve student performance.
