Abstract

On the basis of literature analysis, data of sociological and pedagogical studies the structure and the content of motor activity of institution students have been determined as a constituent of their recreation culture. It has been revealed that motor activity index in the majority of students constitutes 32 points on the average, which is less than physiological norm. Within motor activity structure the basic and sedentary levels are dominant both in boys and girls. Insufficient every day activity of students fails to provide optimum functioning of the body systems, thus does not provide conditions for health strengthening. In order to improve motor activity of students their preferences in selection of form and types of recreation and health related activity should be taken into account
