Abstract

In the review of the book “Moscow Union of Artists. View from the XXI century. Book two” (2021) by B.I. Ioganson we examine the author’s concept regarding the particular component of the institutional existence of fine arts in the late Soviet period (1962 – 1980s) using the Moscow Union of Artists as an example and reflecting the creative processes of this period in contemporary criticism and subsequent analytical studies of Soviet art.
