Abstract
Contemporary autobiographical fiction, especially in Scandinavian literature post-Karl Ove Knausgård, challenges traditional literary interpretation. This article examines interpretive strategies for Naja Marie Aidt’s When Death Takes Something from You Give It Back, advocating for a shift to empathetic, engaged reading, aligning with Rita Felski’s idea of postcritical reading.
