Abstract

The article presents the author’s view on the relationship between the dominance of the globalist financial and economic system in the world economic space and the associated dominance of mass or pop culture in the world cultural space. It is considered how the individualistic ideology of capitalism in the highest form of its development — globalism determines public consciousness. The article examines the reasons for the systematic destruction of the spiritual and moral basis of Russian culture, carried out since the oligarchic liberalism came to power in Russia in the 1990s, and the prospects of Russian society while preserving the asocial economy and the dominance of mass culture.
