Abstract
A study was conducted to investigate the reaction of methane-ammonia water vapour in primordial conditions with and without the presence of green catalyst montmorillonite and cationexchanged montmorillonite, which resulted in the formation of significant number of amino acids. The study identified the resulting products through the use of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. The formation of lysine, aspartic acid, glycine, glutamic acid, alanine, valine and leucine was reported from the above experimental solutions.
