Abstract
Objective To investigate the situation of multi drug resistant organisms (MDRO) infection in a grade two general hospital and to explore the effect of nursing intervention. Methods The investigation and monitoring of bacterial resistance of examined specimens in a hospital from 2012 to 2015 were carried out, behavior intervention on MDRO infection was regularly carried out, the feedback of the implementation of the intervention measures was analyzed. The rate of MDRO infection before and after intervention were compared. Results There were a total of 64 004 examined specimens, including 2 702 positive specimens, 168 cases of MDRO infection. The infection rate of MDRO decreased from 8.48% in 2012 to 3.90% in 2015, with a significant downtrend. Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention can effectively reduce the incidence of MDRO infection in hospital.
