Abstract
Considering the urbanization process and the evident importance of urban green spaces, this research aims to discuss and evaluate the environmental perception of users of Park Ramiro Ruediger, Blumenau, SC. The research was conducted on Ramiro Ruediger Park, located in the municipality of Blumenau, to obtain the monetary environmental value of the park and the urban trees of the district. A survey was using the contingent valuation method. Data were submitted to analysis of similarity on the environmental perception. The environmental value of Parque Ramiro Ruediger was estimated at R$ 467,266.66 monthly and R$ 5,607,199.92 yearly and the annual environmental value of urban street trees was estimated at R$ 101,364,498.00. The qualitative analysis showed that the park is extremely important for leisure as it is the only urban park with trees in the city.
