Abstract

Objective To investigate the surgical experience and clinical effect of modified retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy. Methods The clinical data of 50 cases undergoing retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy were retrospectively analyzed and summarized. According to the surgical methods, the patients were divided into a traditional operation group and a technical improvement group. The intraoperative bleeding volume, operation time, postoperative feeding time, and postoperative hospital stay were compared. Results After the technique of retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy modified, the operation time was (106±17.40) min, the intraoperative bleeding volume was (117.0±23.2) ml, and the postoperative hospital stay was (5.5±1.0) in the observation group, which were lower than those in the control group (all P 0.05). No obvious complications occurred during and after operation. No recurrence of tumor and implanted metastasis of the puncture channel were observed in one year follow-up. Conclusion Compared with the traditional laparoscopic radical nephrectomy, the improved retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy shows the advantages of short operation time, less bleeding, and fewer days of hospitalization.
