Abstract
Objectives To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy and the advantages of two renal incision. Methods A retrospective analysis of twenty-eight cases of retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomies were performed at our hospital. All cases were divided into 2 groups according to operation specimen retrieval incision selection as follow:Lumbar incisions group(n =18),inguinal oblique incision(n =10).Postoperative intestinal function recovery time,Postoperative activity out of bed, drainage tube time, hospital stay,Postoperative visual analogue scale, and cosmetic satisfaction were compared. Results All twenty-eight cases of retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomies were successfully accomplished. The mean operative time was 50 min(range from 40 to 90min).The mean intraoperative blood loss was 100 ml (range from 50 to200ml).There were no difference between the cases of postoperative intestinal function recovery time,Postoperative activity out of bed, drainage tube time and hospital stay(P >0.05) ; Postoperative visual analoguescale were (4.11 ± 1.02) and (3.20 ± 0.92,P < 0.05),and cosmetic satisfaction were no difference between Lumbar incisions and inguinal oblique incision(77.8% versus 90%,P > 0.05).Conclusions Retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy has the advantages of minimally invasive, less bleeding, rapid postoperative recovery, that is a safe and reliable surgical methods. The inguinal oblique incision as specimen retrieval approach offers advantage of less trauma, and higher cosmetic satisfaction,is a viable surgical path.
