Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of modified retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy on right renal cell carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 52 patients with right renal cell carcinoma admitted to Weifang People’s Hospital from September 2015 to September 2018 were retrospectively analyzed and summarized. The 52 patients were randomly divided into treatment group (n=28) and control group (n=24). The treatment group received modified retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy, while the control group received traditional retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery. The intraoperative bleeding volume, operation time and postoperative recovery were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume and hospitalization time of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group (P 0.05). There were no obvious complications during and after operation in the two groups. And no recurrence of tumors and implantation metastasis of puncture passage were found in the follow-up period of 1 year. Conclusions Compared with the traditional laparoscopic radical nephrectomy, the modified retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy has the advantages of shorter operation time, less bleeding and shorter hospitalization, which is worthy of clinical application. Key words: Renal neoplasms; Retroperitoneal laparoscopy; Nephrectomy; Technical improvement
