Abstract
The dispersion relation of surface plasma wave (SPW), moving along the plane of metal-air interface is investigated under the influence of external static magnetic field (Bs). The SPW excited by using the Kretschmann technique with a low power laser has maximum amplitude at the interface and it decreases rapidly with the distance in either side of the interface. In the present study, SPW propagates along Z direction parallel to the metal surface. In the presence of external static magnetic field, the effective permittivity of metal gets affected and modified due to cyclotron frequency of electron, which leads the alteration in the dispersion relation of SPW. The effect of strength and direction of applied magnetic field is studied for different value of Bs on dispersion relation. It may affect movement and divergence as well as the energy gain of electrons excited by these SPW.
