Abstract

In the context of the global pandemic and the process of digitalization of society, the education sector has faced new problems, including the mediocre level of skills of participants in the process needed to use the distance learning technologies, insufficient digital literacy and ICT skills, unstructured educational material on educational platforms and lack of quality feedback. Therefore, the formation of new approaches to the organization of distance learning, the introduction of modern information and communication technologies for distance education and successful adaptation to them are currently the indicators of the quality of educational services. As part of the modernization of education, Ukrainian society and government are gradually mastering technologies aimed at intensifying the educational process, improving the forms and methods of training and suitability for use in distance learning. The article highlights the problem of choosing a management system of the educational process; lists the modern and latest educational platforms and additional or alternative digital tools to ensure the educational process in distance learning; discusses their functionality, advantages and disadvantages. The article considers the most popular distance learning technologies according to surveys of the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine: Viber messenger, Zoom video conferencing platform, social network Facebook, specialized learning management systems Microsoft Teams, GoogleClassroom, Moodle. There is also a brief overview of lesser-known learning management systems such as HUMAN platforms, New Knowledge and Unified School. The article notes the positive role in the development of non-formal education of such educational platforms as Prometheus, ED-ERA, iLEARN, LearningApps. It is demonstrated that the Ukrainian education sector has a sufficient number of information and communication technologies to ensure the quality of distance learning and adaptation to the new conditions of the era of digital transformation of society.
