Abstract
The article analyzes the activities of young volunteers aimed at restoring, preserving, conserving, and popularizing monuments of regional significance. Modern public activity, including volunteering, is getting younger. By 2020, almost 3 million people participated in social activities in various areas, of which about 300,000 were students and postgraduates of higher educational institutions. The paper considers the case of the activity at the Pyatigorsk Necropolis, one of the main events of the regional volunteer orientation of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.
