Abstract

A model simulating the development of recrystallization texture has been developed based on physical processes occurring during nucleation and grain growth. The nucleation stage has been previouly described in another paper. In the present paper a model of texture development during grain growth is proposed which is tested, as an example, on the development of recrystallization textures in low carbon steel. The results on kinetics, and the topology of microstructure and texture agree with experimental observations.
