Abstract
Energy recycling and harvesting are getting more attention today because of the energy resources crisis. Heat is the most common form of wasted energy and is the greatest potential source of energy scavenging.In this work, studies on the use of a pyroelectric generator placed on the brake pad are presented. A finite Element Method (FEMs) has been used to obtain 3D models of the electric response of this material under the generated heat. This application can be used to generate electric energy from wasted thermal energy to supply the electronic systems in vehicles.
