Abstract

Traditional computer specifications focus on states and state transitions. In contrast, Jackson System Development (JSD) focuses on events and the sequence in which events may occur. I present an argument-by-example for JSD-style event-oriented specifications and show that Python can be used to create executable JSD specifications.
