Abstract
From the time minority children are conceived, the odds are against them. Countless studies show that, independent of their health insurance status, their family income or place of residence, minority group children have substantially less access to medical services than other children. Compared to other children, they are less likely to see a physician and more likely to be behind in their immunizations and face more difficulties obtaining needed medical services.
