Abstract

This paper discusses as part of workers involved currently in occupations considered informal in the city of Guaira-Pr, experienced changes in the world of workers involved migration from the countryside to the city between 1970 and 2010. For this purpose, we analyze occupational trajectories of waste collectors and sellers of products by catalog in interviews over the years 2006 to 2010. Thus, we feel as the search for work lived along the migration unable to be explained only if reduced to economic changes of this period, but also need to be analyzed from the experiences of individuals who experience this historical process.
