Abstract

A computer based potassium ion measuring system is designed and constructed. A precision wide bandwidth dielectrically isolated FET input operational amplifier (OPA602) is used as high input impedance unity gain amplifier for measuring potassium ion concentration. An interfacing circuitry, along with the necessary software to the personal computer, so as to use the computer for measurement has been developed. Automatic temperature compensation along with temperature display is incorporated. The system is reasonably successful in measuring the potassium ion concentration with an accuracy of ±1%.
