Abstract

Aqueous zinc ion batteries with different cathodes have garnered significant attention from researchers due to their many benefits, which include high natural abundance, huge capacity, and environmental friendliness. Herein, micro cubic MnCO3@MnO2 synthesis relied on a straightforward process. The electrochemical performance reveal that, after undergoing 500 cycles of testing at 1.0 A·g−1, the specific capacity of micro cubic MnCO3@MnO2 far exceeds that of MnCO3 and exhibits a coulomb efficiency of ∼ 100 %. This micro cubic MnCO3@MnO2 has better rate capability, strong cycle stability, and a greater reversible capacity than micro cubic MnCO3 which indicates that micro cubic MnCO3@MnO2 material has a certain research potential for aqueous zinc ion batteries.
