“MEU TIO O IAUARET?: ARTE LITERÁRIA E ÉTICA / “Meu tio o iauaretê”: literary art and ethics

Abstract

This study is originated from a research on the Joao Guimaraes Rosa’s archives deposited at Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros (IEB/USP). It assumes literary form as the taking of a position towards the contradictions of the social process. Furthermore, the research defends the idea that the unbalanced conversation that takes place in “Meu tio o iauarete”, narrative pattern also present in other texts by the same author, tackles Brazilian inequalities issue representing it.
