Abstract
The article presents the main provisions of the methodology for analyzing the system reliability of electric power systems when planning their states and balances. The type of system reliability for solving problems when planning the states and balances of electric power systems is called planned reliability. A substantive statement of the problem of assessing planned reliability is formulated, where the main requirements for taking into account the factors influencing the determined indicators are noted. In the general structure of the methodology, based on the sequential Monte Carlo method, three main stages are distinguished: the stage of forming pseudo-random processes of functioning of electric power systems, the stage of analyzing the states of functioning of electric power systems, the stage of calculating the indicators of planned reliability.
